KChickin - Boston, MA
A refreshingly new concept for Korean Fried Chicken and Japanese Cuisine!
Location:
KChickin is located in the Fenway area at the corner of Peterborough Street.
Plenty of metered parking on Peterborough Street, if you wait a bit, most of the parked cars will leave as they are there for takeout.
This location is walkable from many greenline stations, with Fenway and Kenmore being the closest!
Experience/Background:
As a foodie with an identity conflict here, I would like to clarify that I am writing this from the POV of BostonFoodventures, to share my favorite items at KChickin.
Food:
Here are some of my favorites on the KChickin menu:
Tangy Flake Wings - The wings itself came out super crispy. I’ve never had a Tangy Flake flavor before trying this menu, but these were DELICIOUS! A small kick with a citrusy after-taste, a super fun flavor I really like here (think Taki’s).
Hand Rolls - The hand rolls here are some of my favorites for 2 reasons: Quality and Price. Not only is the chef very particular about the quality of his ingredients, the prices for these handrolls are unbeatable in the area!
Pork Belly w/ Sesame Oil - The pork belly is super fragrant when dipped in the sesame oil but really melted with each bite served with rice. I LOVED this one!
Curry Katsu - The curry here is made in-house and was one of the best Japanese curries I’ve had in Boston. The katsu that comes with this is a very very friendly portion.Â
Garlic Fried Rice - This is one of the more fragrant fried rice I’ve had. I loved tasting the garlic in every bite, but it was not an overwhelming amount.Â
We sincerely encourage Boston food enthusiasts to visit and share their honest feedback with us! I hope you enjoy the food here as much as I do. Feel free to DM me and let me know how your dining experience was ^_^
