A fun new noodle soup concept that is winning my heart!
Location:
What a Soup is located on the edge of Cambridge, down the street from the Charles River, a quick walk from H Mart (Central Station on the Red Line)
Plenty of metered parking on Western Ave (behind the restaurant)
Sundays: The resident parking doesn’t apply = free for all parking!
Experience/Background:
I’ve been following their instagram page @whatasoupboston for MONTHS and they finally opened! I went in on opening day and I was so happy with everything I had!
As you approach, you can notice their cute logos on their windows around the outside. When you walk in, you are pleasantly greeted with friendly smiles and service. It felt really comfy and homey.
I appreciate that each table has little hooks for your bags, a much needed little addition for snowy/rainy days!

Thai Iced Tea - The Thai Iced Tea here is some of the BEST I've ever had in the greater Boston area! The perfect balance of tea and creaminess.
Pork Belly Skewers - This one is a MUST try appetizer! Fun snack, super soft pork but with a bit of a crunch from the caramelized sauce.
What A Signature - 100% recommend this as the wagyu melts into the broth and noodles in your mouth, straight MAGIC
Beef Boat Noodle Soup - such a rich flavored soup that is pleasantly light, doesn't feel heavy at all
Pork Ball Boat Noodle Soup - that HUGE pork ball is sooo tender and flavorful, its moist and was perfectly paired with the soup base
Brothless Noodle - Brothless was such a pleasant surprise! Although it comes with a side of soup IF NEEDED, it was perfectly flavorful on its own. LOVE the toppings in this one
Creamy Tom Yum Noodle Soup - If you like tom yum, this one won't disappoint at all! Such fun tangy flavors and a beautiful presentation. This one uses a yellow noodle that works so well!
Chicken Clear Noodle Soup - This is a comfy option for those who wants a simple soup base done right! The light clear broth itself touches the soul!
I’ve tried a goood amount of items on their menu and am glad to say, every single thing we ordered was PERFECT! I can confidently say, I will be back and am excited to try everything else!
